Preserve Your Summer Wedding Bouquet: The Art of Flower Pressing for Irish Brides 2025

You’ve found the perfect dress, picked your dream venue, and carefully chosen every flower in your bouquet. But once the confetti has settled and the last glass of bubbly is poured, what becomes of those beautiful blooms that were by your side through it all?

At SIÓG Botanicals, we believe your bouquet deserves more than a quick goodbye. It deserves to become a timeless piece of art—pressed, preserved, and framed with care, so it can bring joy long after the last dance.

If you're getting married in summer 2025 and would love to keep your bouquet forever, here’s everything you need to know.

Why Pressed Flowers Are Perfect for Summer Brides

Summer weddings often come with vibrant florals - peonies, roses, sweet peas, cosmos, hydrangeas… all bursting with colour and meaning. These flowers press beautifully and hold their shape and pigment well when preserved using our specialist techniques.

Pressed flower art captures the essence of your bouquet in a way that's elegant, lasting, and uniquely yours. Whether you're a romantic at heart, a lover of wildflowers, or someone with an eye for detail, this is your chance to hold onto a little piece of your wedding magic forever.

When Should I Book My Bouquet Preservation?

The sooner, the better. We’re already receiving bookings for summer 2025, especially for popular weekends. As a small pressed flower art studio, we take on a limited number of bouquets each week to ensure every one gets the attention it deserves.

Once you’ve confirmed your wedding date, we recommend reserving your slot - there’s no need to know your exact flowers just yet. That part comes later.

How It Works: From Fresh Flowers to Framed Art

  1. Reserve Your DateBook here to secure your slot for summer 2025.
  2. Delivery or Drop-off – After your wedding, we’ll guide you on how to send or drop off your bouquet safely with these tips.
  3. Preservation Process – We carefully deconstruct and press your flowers using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. This takes several weeks.
  4. Design & Framing – Once pressed, we work with you to create a bespoke layout. You’ll choose your frame size, colour, and design style.
  5. Your Keepsake Arrives – Your finished piece is hand-framed and delivered to your door or can be picked up from our studio - a forever memory made from your real flowers.

Tips to Keep Your Flowers Looking Their Best

  • Store your bouquet in water until it’s ready to be delivered to us.
  • Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
  • Avoid refrigerating (especially if it's alongside food).
  • If you’re heading off on honeymoon, assign a trusted friend or family member to get in touch with us for delivery details.

Real Brides, Real Stories

We’ve had the honour of preserving bouquets for brides all over Ireland and Europe, from wild coastal elopements to grand manor house weddings. Each bouquet tells its own story, and our job is to help you relive that story every time you pass your framed flowers on the wall.

"I can’t stop looking at my pressed bouquet—it’s honestly the most special thing I own. Thank you so much, SIÓG!" – Aisling, married July 2024
